Our full time Operations Manager ensures that customer service and quality control is maintained at the highest levels as a priority. We also allocate a dedicated event manager to you so you have a direct contact to deal with at all stages of the planning and delivery of your event. Your event manager will be with you every step of the way to plan, deliver and attend your event from start to finish.

Our team have delivered over 150 different major events to clients in the past 5 years alone and more than 75% of clients return to us within 3 years of first booking an event. We offer a range of popular corporate event packages from which you can choose from. We are also equally adept at delivering totally bespoke and tailored corporate, team building, motivational and client hospitality events.

Our People

Adam Honey

Adam began his career in 1990 in a central London residential estate agency before moving to Merrill Lynch International Bank in 1997, where he was employed as a Private Banker serving high net worth individuals. Adam left Merrill Lynch during the crisis in the financial markets that followed ‘9-11’ and founded Mountain Leap LLP, the parent organisation behind Sky Events.

After an initial period of operating in two overlapping sectors - the successful operations of a number of quality chalets and the arranging of corporate events - the company later discontinued its chalet operation and now fully focuses on its core competency of managing high quality corporate events for professional clients. From our initial specialism in delivering alpine-based events in the Chamonix region of France, we have since expanded to providing a wide range of top-of-the-range activities around the world, with events to suit all clients, tastes and budgets.

Adam’s dedication and tireless work rate in launching and developing the Mountain Leap offering has laid the foundation for what the company has become today. Through 10+ years of experience and knowledge in the sector, Mountain Leap and Sky Events deliver a number of outstanding events to clients each year and continue to attract projects from both new and returning customers alike.

Adam is a keen extreme skier and mountaineer and enjoys sharing his passion for all things alpine. This combination of the appreciation of first class events set against stunning backdrops, together with an equally firm understanding of business, is reflected throughout the Moutain Leap and Sky Events team and ensures that each and every one of the events we deliver for clients is as perfect as the client expects.

Laura Rees

Laura began her career at GSD Navigation following her graduation from college in 2003 in Sales, Marketing and Business development. As a specialist in value added satellite navigation systems and bespoke cartography, her role included event and exhibition management, organising and implementingall aspects of the company’s presence at national events. This included everything from stand design, graphics, logistics and stock management to liaison with event organizers and stand staffing.

Highlights of Laura's event management expertise for GSD included co-ordinating the company’s presence at events such as MPH04/05, The Caravan and Outdoor Show, The Outdoor Show and more at prestige venues including Earls Court, The NEC,  eXcel and many other venues across the UK. All events were highly successful and profitable for GSD. Laura also successfully managed the introduction of GSD's Ecommerce website and the company’s first bespoke cartography product.

In 2005 Laura relocated to London and took up a position in sales and marketing for a world leader in Inflight Entertainment working as part of a small, yet powerful team to secure high value clients. Laura was responsible for the company’s response to RFI’s and RFP’s from airlines. She liaised with the AVOD, video, audio and software programming departments in order to compile and tailor proposals and pitch the company’s services to airlines including American Airlines, Continental Airlines, United Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar and Singapore Airlines to name a few.

Laura joined Mountain Leap based in the Chamonix office in 2008 to add weight to the Sales and Marketing team and in pursuit of a life less ordinary. Her experience in developing relationships with large business and in event management and her passion has developed and strengthened client relationships by delivering unforgettable event experiences. Laura's expertise now extends to Sky Events, bringing her knowledge and experience to a wide variety of events for our clients.

Laura benefited from experiencing a variety of different cultures, being fiercely British, but having been educated in the USA, Japan and Singapore. She has a passion for travel and adventure along with enjoyment of many outdoor pursuits including horse riding, scuba diving, mountain biking, snowboarding and sailing. Laura brings this passion for great activities, together with her business and organisational acument, to bear in outstanding fashion, ensuring each and every one of our clients receives the professional, high-quality service that they expect and deserve.
